On behalf of the Executive and members of the St. Margaret Sailing Club, I am pleased to welcome you to our Club website. As you browse our website you will notice we offer a wide variety of services both on and off the water. We truly have “something for everyone”, and we encourage you to visit and participate in our Club’s activities.
The acquisition of the Clubhouse and property in 1994 was a major milestone in the development of the Club. It provided a much-needed permanent home for the Junior Sail Program and a destination of choice for the membership and community at large. Recently improved accessibility by land and water, an enhanced Youth Sail Program, and esthetic improvements to the Clubhouse and grounds provide exciting new services for our membership. Throughout the 52 years of operation, the Club has never lost sight of its primary purpose: to encourage a love and knowledge of the sea, and to promote sailing and an interest in watercraft of all kinds. Over the years, the Club has introduced thousands of young people to boating as well as producing many elite and internationally ranked competitive sailors. Several of our current members are former Olympians, world champions, members of the NS Sports Hall of Fame, and others are following in their wake.
Please contact any member of the Executive should you wish any information concerning the Club’s facilities, membership, or other matters relating to our sailing or social programs. Wayne Trowse |
