News Flash: 2010 Summer wedding rental bookings are presently available for July 3, July 10, July 31, August 14 and August 21!

Located at 5 Foxberry Hill, Croucher’s Point, French Village, The St. Margaret Sailing Club has been the beautiful backdrop for many weddings, and numerous artistic, social, and business events. The building is very versatile, with an open concept interior layout, allowing for the easy flow of people throughout the main floor and second story mezzanine. The exterior of the building is rimmed by a full verandah, providing spectacular views of St. Margaret’s Bay.

SMSC is licensed for groups of up to 121 people (standing only), or full seated dining for 90. We provide a full service bar, washrooms and coatroom on the main floor. While we do not provide catering services ourselves, we can provide a list of caterers familiar with our facility, and our spacious kitchen is available for rent for special occasions. Public parking is available as are moorings for visiting boats.

SMSC offers spring and fall wedding reception specials and is outfitted with wireless internet for your business meeting needs.

Current Rental Rates

Social Events

The rental rate is $950 for a 16 hour day - from 8 am to midnight of the specified rental date. The rate provides exclusive use of the main floor of the building and verandah, shared use of the grounds & beach, full bar tending service and fully stocked cash bar, tables and chairs for up to 90 guests, tablecloths, dishes, cutlery and glassware (wine, water, and flutes). Also included is use of the kitchen and commercial propane BBQ and fuel.

The rental rate is $400 for access from 4pm till midnight. This rate includes a bartender.

Meetings

The rental rate is $300 for an 8 hour day. This generally doesn't include a bartender, as that would make the event a social event (see above).

Member Bookings

There is no charge for full members (not student or junior members) to use the clubhouse, but there is cost recovery for all expenses - for example, the bartender cost is $15 per hour and post event cleaning is around $75 , plus cleaning of any tableclothes at $2.50 per cloth, etc.
