Commodore Hands out 2009 Awards PDF Print E-mail

Our Commodore, Wayne Trowse, awarded the following awards at the recent Commodore's Dinner and Dance. These awards, in a small way, acknowledge volunteerism in the club. Congratulations to the winners!

Bucket Award

This year's winner was Tony Lugar. Wayne indicated that it was hard to pick someone given the large number of people that volunteered in a signifant way in running the Worlds this year. Tony managed the waterfront and its many volunteers during the worlds. Rumour has it that he also assembled and disassembled just a few Lasers.

Commodore's Bowl

This year's winner is Suther Yuill. He lead and day-to-day managed the significant waterfront infrastructure that was added to the club in 2009.

Copernais Cup

This year's winner is Paul Filbee-Dexter. He was the principal race officer for the Bay Wind Regatta this year. This was his first time in this role and he did an admirable job!
