On this past weekend (July 17-18) 125 sailors (98 boats) in 6 classes competed in SMSC's annual The Bay The Wind The Regatta. The weather cooperated and 7 races in each class were run. Saturday presented some fog challenges, but Sunday was a classic "Bay Day" with winds around 15 knots.

In addition, The Nova Scotia Yachting Association awarded three provincial championships this weekend as part of the  regatta. These included:

1. Max Flinn captured the Nova Scotia 16 and Under Championship.
2. Alexander Palmeter is the 2010 Laser Champion for first place finish in the Laser Class. He had 7 of 7 first place finishes!
3. 2010 Laser Radial Provincial Champion is Sandy Beatty.
