| SMSC’s Ryan Gallant and Matthew Akin Shoot up the Middle to Capture Top Honours in Provincial 420 Series |

No, it would not be correct to call it a tortoise and hare story. Slow and steady did not win this series of races. Hmmn… maybe we can call it fast and steady? After strong finishes in both the ARK (2nd) and Sail East (3rd) competitions, the team of Ryan Gallant and Matthew Akin entered the closing Kennedy Cup competition in fourth place in the 420 Grand Prix standings. This time they would go on to a fourth place finish and give real meaning to the “steady as she goes” maxim. Their finish here shot them all the way to the top of the standings and they are this year’s provincial Grand Prix champs! Well done boys! (and, let’s not forget, well done to their parents and to our SMSC coaching staff!)
