SMSC to Host 2011 Canadian Youth Nationals and National Championships |

SMSC will be in the spotlight again as it has been selected by the Canadian Yachting Association to host:
- 2011 CYA Youth National Sailing Championships
- Dates: Monday, August 29, 2011 - Thursday, September 01, 2011
- Age Eligibility: U19; Minimum age 14
- Classes: Laser Male; Laser Radial Female & Male; Laser 4.7; 29er; Club 420; RS:X**; Bic 293***
- Qualifier for: Canada's 2012 Youth World Sailing Team
- 2011 CYA National Sailing Championships
- Age Eligibility: Open, minimum age of 14
- Classes: Laser Male; Laser Radial Male & Female; 49er; 29er; 470; Club 420; RS:X**; Bic 293*** (Note: Any class with less than 5 entries by the early bird registration date will not race).
- Qualifiers for: 2012 Laser & Radial CST according to CST selection criteria for 2012; other qualifiers TBD.
Rod Millar will be chair of both events. Members, mark your calendars - lots of volunteer help will be needed to host these major events!
* The 2010 Youth's had about 130 boats (just the Laser, 29er and 420 classes).
