(presented at the Annual General Meeting in November 2009)

Further Club Management/Administrative change is required.

Quotes From the 2009 Sail Plan:

  • “Volunteering for events and programs is rewarding and gets you involved in ‘club fun’.”
  • “Volunteering for day to day ‘task’ work is another thing.”
  • “We want a Club Manager, but we are not quite there yet. With the new Marina, Training Centre and Membership growth we hope to make the transition.”

In 2009 the Clubs’ bookkeeping, payroll, membership dues collection, membership database management, and issuance of Membership cards was outsourced successfully on a paid basis.

We now have our Marina and member Services must have focus.

The 2009 Executive, many returning, propose that the new Executive review the opportunity to employ a Club Manager, at minimum on a part time basis, and that the 2009/2010 Operating Budget be established on that basis for review at a Special Meeting in early 2010.

The Executive also recommends that a Committee be established to recommend new Club By-Laws, Policies and Procedures, Director and Executive Structures, and Membership Categories to be reviewed/approved at the same Special Meeting.

We are now a different Club
