SMSC Policy is to allow open bar tabs only for an evening or event. Over the past few years this policy has been relaxed and running tabs has been allowed beyond that time frame. This has resulted in the inability to account accurately for events, reconcile cash and fairly distribute gratuities. Effective immediately open tabs will be allowed only when a credit card is provided and held until the tab is closed. Any unclosed tabs not cleared by the end of the evening or event will be closed with a fifteen percent gratuity. Owners of unclaimed cards will be notified to pick up their card at their earliest convenience. Wayne Trowse, Updated: June 2010 |
