Adult Sailing Programs

Come to SMSC on May 11 for our Club Openner and get a short semi-private lesson with one of our experienced instructors. We will have our instructors on hand to sail with you in one of our double-handed dinghies. You'll get shown the ropes (figuratively and literally) of getting out on the water and will be able to try out our amazing sport.

Experience: NONE instructor will be with you the whole time!

A fun introduction to sailing while learning and building upon skills that can be applied in varying conditions and boats. Gain an understanding of dinghy sailing and basic maneuvers using 420’s or a Bombardier. Perform tacks, gybes, and be able sail on various points of sail using proper technique, steering, and sheeting.

We offer private lessons for those who would like to focus on a specific area with a coach. These lessons are offered at the standard hourly rate.

Bring a friend or up to 4 of similar skill levels to learn together in a small group. 2-hour minimum/session.
