Calling all Sailing Queens, or women who want to become one!
Now’s your opportunity to get on the water with other women on a keel boat and learn about sailing for safety and confidence. Whether you're interested in cruising or racing, or just getting on a boat on the bay, this is an amazing opportunity.
What will this entail?
Starting at 6pm at SMSC in the Learn to Sail Building.
We will have a short on land session where we will talk about on water aspects of sailing and go over some key basics to on water safety and success.
Your input is very important. This is a great time to share anything you would like to know about sailing, anything from the basics to racing.
Following the land session, we will go on the water for a sailing session.
Once back on land we will have time to socialize, share stories and knowledge in the main club house.
Do I need sailing experience to participate?
No, you do not need any experience, all are welcome to come join.
What should I bring?
You will need a lifejacket for the on-water portion. If you would like to attend and do not have one, please let us know and I can try to source one for you.
Closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting wet
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
If you have a keelboat, and are will to take people sailing please let us know as the more boats we have available, the better!
