Luke Haley Fund

Grants to Support Learn-to-Sail Participation

The Luke Haley Fund was established in loving memory of an active club member and Junior Sailor, Luke Haley.

The Luke Haley Fund enables youth who would otherwise not have the means to participate in SMSC’s Learn to Sail programs to do so. Program participants must be residents of Halifax Regional Municipality.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for support from the Luke Haley Fund is determined using the eligibility standards of KidSport Nova Scotia. Click here to learn.

  • Should your family meet the KidSport Nova Scotia financial requirements you may apply directly to St. Margaret Sailing Club, Learn-to-Sail Director

  • Applications will be processed in the order of receipt. Ordinarily, a maximum of three one-week learn-to-sail placements will be funded each year.
